Upcoming fireworks events in Russia

April 24, 2023

Dear readers, the other day we talked about the best opportunities to enjoy European fireworks. However, should not we forget about Russia: there will be thing to see there in the coming months!

The main upcoming holiday for you to enjoy fireworks will be May 9 - Victory Day! On this day, the sky over all the big and small cities of Russia will flare up with lights, because traditionally the number of fireworks launched on this holiday is comparable to New Year's. The most beautiful fireworks will be waiting for us on Moscow's Red Square - it will be the culmination of the main event dedicated to this date: the Victory Parade.

One of the most famous open-air festivals in Russia - VK Fest - will take place in five cities this year: on June 17 in Vladivostok, on the Tsesarevich embankment; on June 24 in Novosibirsk, in the Arena park; on July 1 and 2 in the Park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg; on July 8 in Sirius (Sochi), on the Medal Square; on July 15 and 16 in Moscow, in Gorky Park. Last year, VK Fest gathered a record 175,000 guests, and fireworks were launched in the Lakhta Center area of St. Petersburg. It is quite possible that pleasant surprises await us this year too!

On June 23 and 24, 2023, as part of the celebration of the Republic Day in the capital of the Chuvash Republic, the city of Cheboksary, it is planned to hold the XV Asamat International Fireworks Festival. On the embankment of the Cheboksary Bay, the audience will enjoy music-synchronized performances of pyro-teams from Chuvashia (“Pirosnab-Povolzhye”) and Kazakhstan. We present you a video from last year's festival, where teams from Almaty and Cheboksary performed.
