The new national standard GB10631-2025 will officially take effect on May 1st

Dear readers, the new national standard "Quality and Safety of fireworks and Firecrackers" GB10631-2025 was issued on October 31st, 2025, and will officially take effect from May 1st, 2026. The new standard introduces the following key changes in firework production:

⑴．The total powder weight of CAKE Level C products in a single box is ≤1200g (the total for the entire transportbox, no longer just single items);

Previously, multiple products could be placed in one box, the quantity was arbitrary (as long as each product did not exceed 1200g). Now, the total powder weight of the entire transportbox is no more than 1200g, so only 1 to 2 products can be placed in one box.

⑵.Level C products are further classified into Level C1 and Level C2;

• Level C1 has a relatively large powder weight and is suitable for individuals to set off in relatively open areas. The powder weight of a single tube is ≤25g.

• Level C2 has a relatively small powder weight and is suitable for personal use at a relatively close distance. The powder weight of a single tube is ≤10g.

⑶.Packaging and traceability: mandatory standards and one item, one code

• Prohibit high/low-risk products mix packaging together and clarify the rules for "assortment";

• Each box must be labeled with a 12 digit unique traceability QR code to achieve traceable source and destination;

• Mandatory labeling of labels and transportboxes: product category/level, maximum powder weight per tube, total powder weight per transportbox, combustion instructions, warning language, etc.

⑷.All firecrackers and fireworks must be equipped with qualified green and safe fuses. Products without fuses are strictly prohibited. Such as Snaps ,Pop pop and No 1-4 firecrackers will no longer be produced.
