“Two Sessions” suspension notice

Dear readers, China’s annual “Two Sessions” of 2024 are just around the corner. Fireworks factories have received notices of production suspension, which are as follows:

1. The 1.1 level process of fireworks production enterprises stops production at 18:00 on March 3, 2024.

2. Each enterprise should formulate a production plan before suspending production, but any trace of overload production, employees working overtime, excessive storage, etc., is strictly prohibited, and, once discovered, those involved will be punished.          

3. During the shutdown period, fireworks factories organize employees to carry out safety education and training, facility and equipment maintenance, emergency rescue drills, etc.

4. During the shutdown period all fireworks factories should be on duty 24/7, and increase the inspection work on the premises and in the surrounding areas, and report any problem in time. All safety monitoring stations shall maintain smooth communication and deal with possible emergencies in a timely manner.

5. Enterprises that had been approved to resume production will resume production on their own after the "Two Sessions", and the review and approval process for resumption of work will be suspended during the "Two Sessions".

 Many factories stopped production just a few days after the Chinese New Year, and some factories directly waited for the "Two Sessions" before restarting. During the Spring Festival holiday and the shutdown of the "Two Sessions", the fireworks factory will be suspended for more than a month in total.
