Skyburst The Firework Co. has won the 2023 British Firework Championships which attracted thousands of spectators to Plymouth’s waterfront on 16th and 17th of August.
Electrify Pyrotechnics from Matlock, Derbyshire won the prestigious new Young People’s Choice Award.
Second place went to Dudley-based Shockwave Pyrotechnics and Pyrovision, from Spalding, Lincolnshire, came third.
The competition has been incredibly strong this year, with each of the teams putting on exhilarating displays that have wowed the audience each night.
There were six professional fireworks companies that participated this year. On August 16 the firing list consisted of The UK Firework Company, Distant Thunder Fireworks and Shockwave Pyrotechnics. On August 17 there were 3 more teams to compete: Skyburst The Firework Co., Pyrovision and Electrify Pyrotechnics.
