This year, Yekaterinburg, the fourth largest city in terms of population in Russia, celebrated its 300th anniversary! The holiday is traditionally held on the third Saturday of August: this year it fell on the 19th of August. It was preceded by an entire festival week, culminating in a grand concert in the city center and an epic 10-minute fireworks display. In total, more than a million people took to the streets of the largest economic, administrative, cultural, scientific and educational center of the Urals that day!
