Canada celebrated Victoria Day

June 20, 2023

Victoria Day is a Canadian statutory holiday celebrated on the Monday preceding May 25 in every province and territory. It honours the birthday of Queen Victoria, who was the ruler of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 1837 to 1901, and these 63 years of expansion of the British Empire are known as the Victorian era.

In order to celebrate the holiday, Canada's Wonderland amusement park put on their annual fireworks display from 11 separate firing positions on May 21st. 6,000 colourful explosions has reached a height of 800 feet. The next day at Ashbridge's Bay Park of Toronto featured beautiful fireworks and a spectacular finale. You could enjoy both shows via the following links: Wonderland and Ashbridge.
