USA Independence Day

July 6, 2022

On the fourth of July the light bulbs all over the Empire State Building of New York changed color to red. This is one of the many traditions associated with the celebration of the main national holiday of the United States – the Independence Day.

On this very day in 1776 the Congress of the 13 British colonies situated along the east coast of what is now the United States of America, and who were fighting for their independence from the British crown, declared the first official document where they called themselves United.

Since then, Independence Day has been a federal holiday accompanied by patriotic performances, and most often it is celebrated in the fresh air, with people having picnics or barbecues with friends. And of course, massive salutes and fireworks are being launched in the evening in the parks and city squares all over the country. For example, in 2009, New York hosted the largest fireworks show in the country, during which 22 tons of pyrotechnics were used.

The SuperFireworks Company team wants to share some amazing videos of 2022 fireworks over New York City, Washington D.C. and over the Magic Kingdom Disney in Florida!
