Prices change in the first quarter of 2022

April 12, 2022

Dear friends, the team of SuperFireworks Co., Ltd. is constantly monitoring the market situation trying to keep you up-to-date with price changes for pyrotechnic products.

The world industry and trading situation in recent years is most often characterized by one word - crisis. All production chains are affected by energy, political and logistical changes, which, unfortunately, are rarely positive, especially in relation to price dynamics.

The general trend could not but affect the production of fireworks. From our sources, we received information about the following changes in raw materials prices for the first quarter of this year (compared to the end of 2021):

- prices for potassium perchlorate and sulfur doubled;

- magnalium (an alloy of aluminum with magnesium) has risen in price by 80%;

- copper oxide increased in price by 20%;

- the price of strontium carbonate quadrupled!

- lifting charge has risen in price by 30%;

- other materials’ prices (titanium, aluminum, sulfur and barium nitrates, polyvinyl chloride, rice flour, etc.) grew by about 10% at the end of 2021, and are no longer growing.

Rising prices for materials such indispensable in the production of pyrotechnics entails an inevitable increase in prices for the final product. Therefore, if you are planning to purchase fireworks, consider the current situation and remember that the best day to make a decision is today!

...There is also some good news: no cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in Changsha last week! Therefore, the restrictions that we recently wrote about are being cancelled, thus making a positive impact on production and logistics.

SuperFireworks Co., Ltd. will continue to keep you up-to-date with the most important news and developments in the global pyrotechnics and fireworks market.

Stay tuned!
