Nov. 30, 2022

SuperFireworks Co., Ltd. would like to share a notice concerning the update of the fireworks export situation at Beihai Port.

As we all know, China is the biggest fireworks producer and exporter in the world. In the past decade, the China's share in the total fireworks export in the international market  exceeded 85%, with 90% of the production capacity concentrated in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. The remaining 10% production capacity is distributed between Beihai and Qinzhou of Guangxi province.

There are two main channels for fireworks export: Beihai Port and Shanghai Port. Among them, the shipping mode of Beihai Port is that the fireworks container is delivered by car to Shibuling port area in Beihai, then shipped by barge to Hong Kong for export. The shipping mode of Shanghai Port is that the fireworks container is shipped from Yueyang Port in Hunan Province and transported by barge along the Yangtze River to the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port area for export.

The Beihai port main export routes are to the west and east coast of the United States, and to the main ports in Europe. On December 1st, 2022, Beihai Port administration restored the temporary fireworks inspection site qualifications in Shibuling Port Area of Beihai. Beihai Customs resumed the original loading supervision mode to ensure the normal operation of fireworks shipping in Beihai Port.

At present, Beihai has the operation qualification for 1.4 class fireworks but can’t send snaps, and will further improve to the operation qualification of Class 1.3 fireworks but won't be able to send shells above 6 inches for the time being.
