National Day Holiday in China

China National Day, officially the National Day of the People's Republic of China, is annually celebrated on October 1st to commemorate the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Chinese people enjoy a 7-day holiday from October 1st to 7th, which is known as Golden Week. Another important issue to come is the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) which is to be held in Beijing on October 16, 2022.

During this period of time, the government is very strict on the management of fireworks enterprises. The powder line is only allowed to produce until 11 a.m., and as long as the regulatory department officers pay visits to fireworks factories quite frequently, so the production progress is relatively slow.

In order to ensure the safety and stability of the fireworks industry, the government has decided to stop fireworks production during the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China step by step.

1. Black powder and fuse line production: stop all the pyro working procedures at 18:00 on 8th October, 2022.
2. Firecracker production enterprises: stop mechanical charging process at 18:00 on 8th October, 2022.
3. Fireworks production enterprises: stop all powder-related procedures at 18:00 on 8th October, 2022.
4. All working fireworks procedures will be stopped at 18:00 on 12th October, 2022.
5. Dangerous goods vehicles are not allowed on the high speed road during the National Day period from 30th September to 7th October and 15th to 28th October.

All fireworks production enterprises will resume production the second day after the Congress meeting.
