The Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2023

Nov. 28, 2023

The Seoul International Fireworks Festival is the largest and most spectacular fireworks festival in South Korea. It is held annually (with the exception of the few years of COVID) near the Yeouido Hangang Park.

The festival features fireworks display by various teams from all over the world, and the entire duration of the fireworks display typically lasts an hour. The festival typically takes place towards the end of September, but this year it was pushed back slightly to the first Saturday of October due to the “autumn evening” of Chuseok holidays happening from September 28 to September 30.

The festival’s participants presented a truly mesmerizing spectacle that left a crowd of about 1 million people in awe! Under the theme "Lights of Tomorrow," the 2023 Seoul International Fireworks Festival, organized by Hanwha Group, featured two teams from Korea (with the show called “Life is Colorful”) and China (with the show called “A Dream Comes True”), and around 400 drones were mobilized for the massive fireworks display. Poland was supposed to be the third team to showcase fireworks but was unable to do so due to technical issues.
